Installation tips

Pyrenean spruce

For any installation, always refer to the standards established in DTU 36.2 The half-timber profile allows a good performance in the nailing of the boards, and an important saving of time during installation.

Installation on a wooden substructure to allow good ventilation. Minimum spacing of 40 cm for good evacuation of humidity and condensation (maximum distance between axes of 60 cm).

Store the planks 10 days prior to placement, horizontally, in ventilated piles at the site to receive the siding.

Preparation: place the coating on a perfectly dry substrate, avoiding direct contact with the ground.

The first table above serves as a guide for all the following ones: take care of the implementation.

Installation in a damp room is possible provided that adequate ventilation is ensured by windows or a VMC.

The product should not be in direct contact with water.

The installation of battens also allows the insertion of thermal or acoustic insulation, or the concealment of cables if necessary (maintaining air space).
Nail the slats to each batten.

To avoid cracking, use sheathing nails smaller than 3 mm in diameter.

Maintenance
